InSite: Screenplay Reading

InSite has unveiled two wonderful screenplays so far. In 2003 we read Cut Snake by Blake Ayshford, and in 2005 we read Moving South by Cath Moore. Both are now in development and we’ll see them on the screen in the next couple of years. The Australian Writers' Guild and AFF sent out a call for un-produced screenplays by Guild members in August 2006. Over 100 scripts were submitted in response. This year director Kriv Stenders ( Boxing Day) will be working with the writer and a cast of professional actors over two days, culminating in a public reading. The winning writer [announced early February 2007] will receive valuable feedback, and audiences will have the chance to gain fascinating insights into the script development process.
