Ten Canoes Awash with Awards

Since its world premiere in March during the 2006 Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts Ten Canoes, the second feature to receive investment from the AFF Investment Fund has had extraordinary critical reception. Awarded the Jury Prize for Un Certain Regard at Cannes 06, it has been nominated as Australia's entry to 2006 Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film, and winner of the main award at the Cinema des Antipodes, France. Nationally it has been nominated for the Film Critics Circle Awards 2006 for Best Film, Director, Original Screenplay, Cinematography and Editing and nominated for Best Feature, Director, Actor, Cinematography, Script, Sound for IF Awards 2006.
