SUBMISSION GUIDELINES ADELAIDE FILM FESTIVAL 2009
- AFF accepts feature films and shorts (drama, documentary, experimental and animation) made in Australia and internationally.
- Short films are considered to be under 50 minutes in length
- All submissions must have been completed after February 2007
- Works broadcast on Australian television or on the internet prior to AFF are ineligible
- Works screened at other Australian film festivals are admissible
- Feature films screened previously in Adelaide are ineligible
- Short films screened previously in Adelaide are eligible
- DVDs should be labelled with title, contact details and duration.
- Submitted tapes/DVDs will not be returned
- All applicants will be notified about selection by email, or post if email not available, by mid December 2008
- Selection is determined by preview committees
SUBMISSION FORMATS:
DVD or VHS (PAL/NTSC). DVcam tapes are not accepted for preview purposes. Please test computer-burned DVDs on several makes and models of players before sending. DVD+RW and DVD-RW discs are not accepted.
SCREENING FORMATS:
35mm; DIGIBETA (PAL); BETA SP
For 2009 we won’t be screening HD formats but we expect that we will be in a position to do so for the following festival in 2011.
ENTRY FEES:
Submissions must be accompanied by entry fee AUD $50 for feature length films and $30 for short films (under 50 mins)
ENTRY DEADLINE:
For both feature films and short films submission deadline is Friday 17 October 2008
