Acknowledgement of Country

Adelaide Film Festival acknowledges that we work and celebrate screen culture on Kaurna Country. We pay our respects to Kaurna Elders past, present and emerging and recognise their culture, beliefs, and relationship with the Adelaide Plains. We would also like to acknowledge Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia as the first storytellers.

GIVEAWAY: The Best Offer

Thanks to Wallis Cinemas, we've got five double passes to the preview screening of The Best Offer to give away!

Virgil Oldman (Geoffrey Rush) is a solitary, cultured man whose reluctance to engage with others, especially women, is matched only by the dogged obsessiveness with which he practices his profession as a high-end antiques dealer. One day Virgil receives a phone call from a mysterious young heiress, Claire (Sylvia Hoeks), who asks him to evaluate some family works of art. It will be the beginning of a relationship that will change his life forever…

Acclaimed director Giuseppe Tornatore (Cinema Paradiso) reunites with renowned composer Ennio Morricone for this dramatic mystery set in the high-stakes world of European art auctions.

We have five double passes to see The Best Offer on Monday, 26 August, 6.45pm at Mitcham Cinemas to giveaway.

To enter: Geoffrey Rush was patron of this year's Melbourne International Film Festival, but which duo are the Adelaide Film Festival's patrons? (Here's a hint)

Email their names, along with your name and postal address, to marketing@adelaidefilmfestival.org by 5pm, Thursday 22 August for your chance to win.
