Archie Moore’s (Kamilaroi/Bigambul) multifaceted art practice mines personal and institutional histories to devastatingly convey the insidiousness of racism, surveillance, the longing for recognition and the experience of misrecognition.

Moore’s ambitious new moving image work is the thirteenth AFF & Samstag Art and the Moving Image Commission and is the fifth iteration of his installation series Dwelling, in which Moore imaginatively recreates the mise-en-scène of his childhood home.
