It Follows star Maika Monroe is back at the murder coal face in former film critic Zachary Wigon’s Cannes Film Festival berthing comedy-horror adapted from Virginia Feito’s best-selling novel of the same name. Only this time, who’s doing the stalking?!? Monroe plays Winifred Notty, a governess with a patchy CV who has been invited into the candlelit halls of the imposing Ensor House. Her new employees are the ever-so-snooty Mr and Mrs Pounds, played by The White Lotus star Jason Isaacs and Down Cemetery Road’s Ruth Wilson. They’ve placed their young son Andrew (Hamnet’s Jacobi Jupe) and his older sister, Drusilla (Wednesday’s Evie Templeton), in her charge. But Winifred has a habit of zoning out, mid-lesson, only to be alerted she has uttered something rather wild. That, and she’s convinced the nanny, Miss Lamb (Last Night In Soho star Thomasin McKenzie), that a cadaverous ghoul stalks the grounds. Madness ensues in this Un Certain Regard Award-nominated hoot that will make you shriek and shriek-laugh.
